Overview

 Generate Staff Performance Targets is used to generate the following store targets by week: -

  1. Wage $
  2. Store Hours
  3. Productivity

Before staff performance can be generated, each stores daily sales targets must be generated. This application uses the Wage Target Matrix to calculate the appropriate roster hours for each store based on their sales target for the week. The Average Hourly Rate defined using Maintain Store Performance Attributes is used to estimate wage cost, and these values are used to generate Productivity targets (Sales per Hour) and Wages as a percentage of sales.

Criteria Form

Targets are generated for up to six weeks from a nominated date.

The available options are: -

  1. Create New Targets: New Targets are created.
  2. View Existing Targets: Previous targets are displayed in the report.

Report

The following fields describes the report columns. 

Column Description
Wage Matrix The matrix used to generate the targets. This is associated with the store using Maintain Store Performance Attributes.
Sales Target The store sales target for the week.
Target Wage % Calculated as Target Wage % / Sales Target.
Target Wage $ Calculated as Target Hours for the Week * Average Hourly Wage Rate (as defined by Maintain Store Performance Attributes)
Avg Hourly Wage Rate The value defined against the branch using Maintain Store Performance Attributes.
Target Hours

The Sales Target is used to index into the Wage Target Matrix to determine the target hours. It is determined as follows: -

  1. If the stores weekly sales target is less than the minimum sales target break point in the wage matrix, it uses the roster target on the first sales target break point line.
  2. If the stores weekly sales target is greater than the maximum sales target break point in the wage matrix, it uses the roster target on the last sales target break point line.
  3. Otherwise it finds the wage target matrix line with a sales target break point just below the store weekly target and uses its roster target.
Target Productivity This is calculated as follows Sales Target / Target Hours.
